Paris Travel Guide

Hello Friends,

It´s been a very long time that I have sit down and blog, this one is so overdue. I travel to Paris 2 years ago so I thought it will be fitting to finally post this.

If your dream is to visit Paris or you need some inspo, tips, etc, then stay and I will do my best to share what I learned from traveling there :)

My husband and I wanted to go to Europe and I always dreamed of going to Paris and he wanted to go to Germany so after some planning we went for it.

We left from Mexico City a direct flight to Paris, it was about 10 hours? in Aeromexico, For a first time over seas flight we didn´t know what to expect….

If this is your first time in a flight overseas, I will highly suggest to get a swing for your feet if you can’t t touch the floor ,if you are short person, I´m 4´11 to be exact lol so yes very short and for me that was the worst part not to be able to rest my feet so next time I have a long flight I will buy a foot swing and compression socks because my feet were so swollen after the long flight.

I´m not a light packer quite the opposite I brought soooo much clothes to Paris, in perspective I know it was not ideal to do and some people can travel with just a carry on and I truly admire them but deep down I know that´s not me, my advice if you are the same try to organize your outfits to which day you will wear what to help to avoid bringing clothes you will never use and just will take space, another important thing is to check the weather a few days your flight so you bring the pieces of clothing according to the weather, I´m guilty of never doing that but will do from now on, also saw this tip to take pictures of your outfits before so you already know how it will look and don´t have to stress about that while you are there. If you are documenting a bag also get in Amazon a portable scale to keep track of the weight of your suitcase.

First Night

We landed in the evening so we were starving by the time we got to our hotel, I book a reservation on the restaurant CoCo, We personally liked it, super good food, service and obviously aesthetic, I will highly recommend, it was a great first night in the city of lights :)

First full day in Versailles,

Our first full day in Paris we took a day-trip to the Palace of Versailles, We took an Uber from our hotel, we stayed in Hotel Barmoral near Champs de Elyse 100% recommended, I actually found out about this hotel through another blogger, the hotel was small, very demure and the service just over the charts, Anne Claire the sweet lady that helped us prior and during our stay she is just a delightful human, we felt very welcome in Paris becasue of her, she made sure to assist us from beginning to end.

If I have to describe Versailles .. which I will try my best, it is just the most beautiful place I have ever seen, all the art, arquitecture, gardens, it´s just breathtaking, if you have several days in Paris take a day to visit Versailles, also for all the enthusiasts of Marie Antoinette vibes and if you want to feel like you are in a fairytale movie.

For our first day in Versailles was absolutely the best, I have never seen a place so beautiful and elegant, if you are planning to go be aware that it takes all day and like anything in Europe requieres a lot of walking so don’t t make the same mistake I did and wear comfy shoes.

The pictures don´t make justice of how amazing this place is, I felt like I was in a fairytale, expect when my feet started to hurt lol. So worth going also make sure you book your entrance in advance to skip the line!

We went in late August and it was crowded but not insanely crowded, the weather was hot, I wore a blazer and took it off just kept it for the outfit pics, I saw all the other women wear sundress flowie dresses and white comfy sneakers which make more sense and a better wadrope option.
